Goeckner Bros. Bintelli Golf Carts
Goeckner Bros. has been a fixture in the Effingham, IL area since 1937. While they have long featured the full Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, & Ram line-up, in 2023 they decided to add the line of Bintelli Beyond Street-Legal Golf Carts. These carts have all the safety features needed to gain a permit from the city to drive in-town in certain areas.

Street-legal golf carts, also known as neighborhood electric vehicles, can be driven on roads with a speed of 35 mph or less in most states. These street-legal golf carts can be found on college campuses, military bases, resorts, commercial properties and in beach towns and residential neighborhoods. Our electric golf carts are equipped with headlights, brake lights, turn signals, seat belts, and mirrors, making these low-speed vehicles legal on the streets.

The beginning
In 1937, after 5 years of running a small repair shop, Albert & Frank Goeckner built a dealership at 403 E Fayette & founded Goeckner Bros. Sales & Service. They carried the Plymouth & Desoto franchises & continued to service a variety of vehicles.

Dodge & Dodge Trucks
In 1960, Albert & Frank got the chance to take over the Dodge & Dodge Truck franchise. They continued selling the Dodge line out of the 403 Fayette building until 1976.

2nd Generation
In 1976, Albert's sons, Mark & Paul, bought Albert & Frank out of the dealership, beginning the 2nd generation of Goeckner Bros. At this time, they bought a building at 600 E. Fayette, moving the business just down the street from the 1st location.

New Building & Jeep/Eagle
In 1992, Goeckner Bros. was offered the addition of the Jeep/Eagle franchise, & became a full line Chrysler dealer. They also built the current building at the right rear corner of their existing lot.

3rd Generation
In 2004, Mark bought out his brother Paul, & Mark's 3 children, Thorin, Neeley, & Travis took on management roles at the dealership.

Commercial Vehicles
In 2007, Goeckner Bros. added the full lineup of Commercial vehicles offered by Ram - now featuring Promaster Vans & Ram 4500 & 5500 trucks.

Drive-In Service
In 2017, Goeckner Bros. added new drive-in service lanes, an all new Service Dept. & customer lounge, & made-over the old Service Dept. area into a bigger Parts Dept.

Bintelli Golf Carts
In 2023, after several local communities made golf carts street-legal, Goeckner Bros. took on the lineup of Bintelli Beyond Street-Legal Golf Carts.
